Thirty-Five Weeks 5.25.2010

Sorry this is back dated.

First thing is first... bump picture:

Week 35 held some some serious fun and some serious aches and pains. Sleep....gone by the wayside. Backpain....extreme. But, I'm sticking to my guns and enjoying the last leg of this journey.

My 35/35 day was spent with two of the best women in the world gorging on chocolate fondue! First, 35/35 means that 35 weeks down and 35 days left to go. That fell on the same day as that sprinkle I've been talking about for weeks. The girls took me to The Melting Pot for chocolate indulgence and then we shopped for a while. The day came fully packed with an amazing gift! They all went in on a newborn photography session with a professional photographer. I've checked out her site and am really excited! http://www.freshphotobyregina.com/ We schedule the shoot with the photographer for somewhere within two weeks of the baby's birth. I can't wait!!! Those girls are the best!

Also, I had my final baby shower this week. It was for Greg's Dad's side of the family. They took me to my favorite restaurant where I, again gorging, downed my favorite steak in St. Louis! We (me and baby) got spoiled with our carseat that he will need for after the pumpkin seat phase of growth and will stay in through 65 lbs if necessary. And, his aunt gave us the Baby Einstein jumper we wanted so much. I've heard such great things about it. There were so many smaller gifts that I could go on and on too!!! I am truly the luckiest girl in the ENTIRE world!!!!!!!!! Between the 3 showers, we got basically everything we needed....literally. We're done, pretty much. We've got a few of those smaller and boring things to purchase for ourselves but it is not much!

Baby's room is almost done. One more week and I'll throw some pictures up here. I really just need Greg to help me hang some heavier artwork and do a little more organization. I've had to accept that a few of the projects that will make the nursery feel complete won't be done until after the little man gets here. Finances and time just aren't on my side right now. But, we'll get there!!!

I've definitely been more tired lately and it's getting to the point where I feel like I'm in my first-trimester zombie days again. I'm falling asleep wherever I am at around 8pm. But this time, I'm not getting any sleep during the night so it makes more sense.

Until next post.....

About Me

My photo
I'm a new wife and an even newer mom. I have a secret dream to be super-mom. I love to craft, cook, dance and fill my life with as many adventures as possible. I'm slightly crunchy granola but enjoy a good steak. I'm right brained and type B (with some type A tendencies). I thrive best when I get to use my creative juices. I dabble in photography and party planning. I play piano and have a dream to learn the cello. I want to make the most of this one, short life I find myself living.

About This Blog

This blog was originally intended to be a personal journal of my pregnancy journey and all that that entails--shared with only a few close family members. It was a way for me to keep them posted on all things baby and occasionally post a picture of my growing torso so they could see the progress. After several posts, I started to get hooked on other blogs and became motivated to attempt to do more with mine. We'll see how it goes....
