Catching up.... Thanksgiving, Flu, Family

"But here is what happened. I was going gung ho. Gung ho working. Gung ho school. Gung ho kids. Gung ho speech class. Gung ho blogging. Gung ho running. And this often equates to gung ho mess. Gung ho chaos. And then I have to regroup. Slam on the brakes. Reign it back in. Restore some order. Do some laundry. Clean my bathrooms. Feed my soul. Not that all those other things don't feed my soul - because they do. It's just that one day I wake up and I'm bored. Have to change it all up. Some people are the same all the time. I'm not, no matter how hard I try. I'm kind of a fly-by-nighter. Even though I always wanted to be that girl that always buys the same lipstick at the Clinique counter when hers runs out or who cleans her bathrooms every Thursday. But I'm not. I'm just never the same. " Written by Sylvia Plath

I've been drowning in lists and I'm only just surfacing for a quick breath before I dive in again. This upcoming week I've got two photo shoots, Santa to visit with Cole, all Christmas shopping to do, finish decorating, clean basement, and a whole ton of other crap. I don't know how people with full time jobs do this whole baby thing around the holidays. Crazy!

Anyway, lets start with Thanksgiving mixed with the fly and family from L.A.. I got the flu a few days before Thanksgiving which was terrible because I got to watch my nephew from Cali from a distance without getting to lay one finger on him. :( My poor husband pulled through and cooked my portion of the holiday meals. We had 4 thanksgivings this year but we were able to space those across 3 different days.

Lets start with the first as it was the most eventful.
It was with our church friends at my neighbor, Stephanie's house. I love that we go to church with them! I'll let the pics do the talkin.

and a special announcement was made... (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

And a few glimpses from the others (the flu made me slack on the photo taking)

I did manage to get some shots of my nephew since I wasn't allowed to play with him hands-on.

About Me

My photo
I'm a new wife and an even newer mom. I have a secret dream to be super-mom. I love to craft, cook, dance and fill my life with as many adventures as possible. I'm slightly crunchy granola but enjoy a good steak. I'm right brained and type B (with some type A tendencies). I thrive best when I get to use my creative juices. I dabble in photography and party planning. I play piano and have a dream to learn the cello. I want to make the most of this one, short life I find myself living.

About This Blog

This blog was originally intended to be a personal journal of my pregnancy journey and all that that entails--shared with only a few close family members. It was a way for me to keep them posted on all things baby and occasionally post a picture of my growing torso so they could see the progress. After several posts, I started to get hooked on other blogs and became motivated to attempt to do more with mine. We'll see how it goes....
